In terms of sales, the Cessna 310R is the model that provided the most revenue for the company in this range of model. This 285 hp machine was modified from the 310Q and there were 1332 of them built overall. This is quite an impressive feat for a twin-engine aircraft at the time.

Apart from the Cessna 310 being used commonly for air taxi purposes, it was also used in 1957 by the US Air Force to transport personnel and also offer administrative support. Once again, its speed made it suitable compared to its competition, and the record number of sales certainly speaks for itself. Additionally, being able to serve its home Country at a crucial time in history is also something that makes the 310 stand out.

This four passenger aircraft is 27 feet long and 10'6" high, with a total wingspan of 35 feet. Naturally, one would expect a twin-engine aircraft to be bigger than the single-engine ones. The maximum speed for the Cessna 310 is 220 miles per hour with the cruise speed set at 205 miles per hour. The plane is also able to reach a service ceiling of 20,000 feet.

Today, there are many cases worldwide where the Cessna 310 is in operation in an air taxi service. Although it is no longer in production, many people still see it as the aircraft of choice for specific services as it has never failed to impress in that regard.
